Lilian Sky Diving

I was diagnosed with a cancerous tumour on my left kidney 2 years ago and had an Nephrectomy which took away the disease and the kidney. I am well and am determined to 'carpe diem' and live my live as full as I am able to. I decided to celebrate my health and my 60th birthday this August by doing a Tandem Skydive/Parachute jump! I have attached photos of the experience that depict some of the cascade of feelings that it brought to me.

I was exhilarated, nervous, apprehensive, excited, very determined to overcome some obstacles I experienced whilst waiting to board the plane to achieve my goal! At the moment of 'freefalling' I was bursting with fear, excitement, wonder at the experience and the views on a stunning day and apprehensive of the forthcoming landing. These all expressed themselves with a long, loud shout of ''Yes'' and a grin building on my face. We were freefalling from 15000 at 120mph! an Awesome experience!

If I feel down or concerned about any aspects of my health (minor) I pull up the photos and relive the whole experience again. Fantastic! I just want to get the best out of the opportunity I have been given.
