International

In the UK we have a national health system which provides us with free care and, if we cannot afford them, medicines. There are many countries where this is not the case, and even the most basic treatments can be limited and difficult to get hold of. That is why we work in partnership with hospitals in developing countries.
How does it work?
We share our ideas about integrative care with the medical staff we speak to in the hospitals. However, we know that this is not enough for them when they do not have the medicines needed to get people back on the mend. So, we supply these medicines directly to the hospitals, where they can be used to help patients who may otherwise have lost their lives.
We have sent medicines to a number of different countries in Africa and in Central America. One example is St Mary’s Mission Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. Over 250 people are enrolled for chemotherapy at the hospital every month, which is free of charge thanks to your donations.
Do you help children with cancer?
Our medicines don’t just go to adults, they help children with cancer too. The hospital has developed a good reputation for treating cancer patients, and children from across Kenya are sent to the paediatric ward for treatment.
What can I do?
Shipping medicines to the hospitals where they are needed is expensive. If you are able to make a regular donation it will help us and the patients.
You can also fundraise at one of our events, or by organising your own.
Thank you.
