In an effort to convey the Foundation's message and purpose to donors it is sometimes necessary vividly to illustrate the unfortunate circumstances of some of our beneficiaries. It has come to our attention that the Foundation's recent Christmas letter may have gone too far in this regard and upset some of our supporters. This was certainly never our intention.

I can report to you that we have already put procedures in place to prevent this type of messaging from occurring in future. Whilst we consider it important to speak candidly to our donors regarding the dreadful impact of cancer treatment on the lives of children, we have no desire to be alarmist. We apologise if our recent mailing caused distress.
